I thought I would try something different and fun.  I did a lot of black outline on this painting which I think gives it an interesting look. I definitely want to do more like this.

I learned a lot about working with color on this painting.

 

 

"Stork"

I was able to get a great photo of this stork while at the zoo. Of course she wasn't in a nest at the zoo.  But after researching storks I decided to place her in one.  This was so much fun to paint.  What did I learn from painting this?  I learned that you don't have to paint individual feathers.  Just indicate them with value changes.

I painted these from pictures I took while on our drive to Maine last September.  It was a foggy Saturday morning.  I enjoyed painting these.

"White Pitcher" and "Brown Teapot" 10x10 oil.

These were painted for a painting challenge.  The brown teapot was truly a challenge.
