"Old Asian Pot" 8x10 Oil
I found this Asian pot at the Big Flea a few months ago. He said it was from the late 1700's. Yes, I believe him. I just had to paint it.

" Shade Tree" Oil 8x8
This summer while on a farm tour around our area I took a picture of this lone tree out in the field. I thought it was pretty out there by itself.

9x12 Oil
This painting is similar to the one I painted in June. Instead of apricots I used nectarines.
I tried using a larger deep purple bowl for this but just couldn't get it to work. Nectarines are not easy to paint by the way.
12x16 Oil
Edgar Payne is one of my favorite landscape artists. I decided to make a copy of one of his sail boat paintings called "Brittany Boats" which was painted in the early 20's. I learned so much while painting this. I love the colors and how he put down the brush strokes side by side with no blending.

"Red and Green Apples"
8x12 Oil
When I saw these little apples at the store I just had to paint them.
They're sitting on an old wool blanket.

"Old Canning Jar"
8x6 Oil
For this painting I was experimenting with the lighting.

Red Apple 6 x 6 Oil
I'm doing three 6 x 6 paintings of apples. Next will be yellow then green.

Three Apples 8 x 10 Oil on linen
I love enamelware. I now have several pieces I want to paint in the near future. I'm also on an apple kick. You can't see the blueish color along the top edge of the pitcher but it adds to the blue, yellow and red colors needed in a painting. At least I believe it adds more interest if those three colors are in a painting. I don't always manage to do that but I'm working on it.

Three Old Pots 10 x 10 Oil on linen
I bought these pots at the flea market thinking they would make a neat painting. I'm not liking it at all. Too washed out. I lost interest half way through. I had too much light hitting the set-up and I just couldn't get the colors I wanted. But I learned something from the process. That alone made it worth finishing.

Orange Tulips

9 1/2 x 24 Oil on linen
I saw these orange and yellow tulips in the store the other day. I just had to put them in my ultramarine vase and paint them. I added my favorite little orange pot to get the reflection off the blue. I haven't signed it yet. I'm thinking about going in and touching up the tulips some. Still need to decide on that.

Paisley Pot
6x6 Oil
I couldn't pass this little pot up when I saw it at the flea market.
