"Rooster"
9x12 Oil
You can't really see all the different colors in this painting. I have violets, yellows, greens and reds. I was trying for a double split complementary relationship. Two pairs of complementary colors forming an X on the color wheel.
My painting forums February painting challenge was to paint using our opposite hand. So far I'm the only one crazy enough to try it.
Last summer while on the local farm tour I was able to get this picture. He really thought he owned the place.
"Pomegranates In Wooden Bowl"
16x20 Oil
All last year I painted small sized paintings. This year my goal is to work larger. Not all will be large but I hope to complete at least three in this size.
I loved painting these pomegranates. I've never cut one open before. They sure are messy.
"Three Peaches"
8x10 Oil
Painting peaches can be difficult. The key is to go slow and think about each placement of paint. You would think painting the knife would be the hardest part of this painting. Actually, it was the easiest.
